Grey Matter Tutorial
I realized I havent done a tutorial for month and a half. Time to do something about that!
I wasnt in the mood for colors this time, so I did something I wear very often, when I dont have time or inspiration to make spectacular looks. Base of this look are the eyes, like the most in my case, which are accenuated by shades of grey. You can transform the simple daily look into evening just by lining your eyes with eyeliner and putting additional layer of mascara.
Here are the shades I used:
So you will need grey, light beige and dark grey eyeshadow, dark grey eyepencil, black eyeliner, mascara and eyeshadow primer. Very minimalistic, isnt it?
Shall we start?
Okay, I have an eye. :D I applied foundation on my lid to cover up some spots and ugly veins.
Apply a thicker layer of eyeshadow primer to make the e/s stick longer.
Blend the primer and apply white eyepencil all the way to the crease. It will make eyeshadows pop.
Tap the eyepencil into the skin to soften the edges. I used fingers.
Using a eyeshadow brush, apply a larger amount of light beige eyeshadow to the center of the lid.
Blend it a bit but dont go all over the lid, try to concentrate the light shade in the middle.
Using a angled brush, apply medium grey eyeshadow in the outer and inner corner of the eye.
Blend it around the edges and soften the transition towards the light beige, but dont go too far in.
Apply the dark grey eyeshadow on the outer V of the eye, to aprox. 2/3 of the crease.
Blend it together with the medium grey to create a shadow effect.
Using an angled brush, apply the dark grey e/s to inner corner of the eye.
Blend it a bit with but keep it darker in that part.
Highlight the area under the eyebrow with matte white eyeshadow (or use the same color as you did on the center of the lid)
Line the lower waterline with dark grey pencil.
Blend the pencil among the lashes using a thin brush packed with dark grey eyeshadow and go all the way from outer to inner corner.
If you want this to be the daytime look – just apply mascara and you are finished!
But if you want to transform it into more dramatic look, apply a thicker line of the black eyeliner on the upper lashline and add some more mascara.
Here is the finished look from other angles. No photos of full face make up because I looked like an idiot on each and every one I took.
U like? What look should I do next? Please, no celebrity make up requests.
