Again… This blog is slowly turning into Illamasqua temple. Not that I mind :)

I went to lllamasqua store in Zagreb on monday. It was my first visit there since the opening and I was very, very excited. I made a reservation few days before because I wanted to make sure they have Galactic and Violate in stock. They were the main reason I went there but I also wanted to check out some other stuff and I checked it, alright. Maybe I should declare a personal bankrupt this very moment and get it over with.

Aaaaanyways…the store looks great, make up artist with whom I spoke was very pleasant and made suggestions based on my preferences and style. I came in for two lipglosses and left the store with three.

I fell in love with Galactic and Violate on a first sight but I already told you about that. I also told you that I was looking for a perfect dark red lipstick and that’s where the Repulse kicked in. Make up artist at Illamasqua suggested I try it on top of medium red lipstick and mix to the intensity I wanted. I got all I need so I can declare my trip to Zagreb make up successful!

But let me tell you more about my new babies. I wont be going much in the packaging/texture/overall routine, I will just sit back and let you enjoy the sh** out yourself looking at these photos :D

Violate is my new favorite lipgloss. It’s not that I would walk around with emerald lips (but you can never know…:D), I actually wanted it for layering over dark lipsticks. I imagined a dark burgundy lips with green shimmer and glow from within. That is exactly what I got with Violate. Texture is somehow strange. It is hard to apply it on its own. Although it is not sheer, it still doesnt cover equally. So, it is layering ftw.

It looks amazing over deep burgundy shades (this is Catrice 170 After work wine).

Repulse is a black gloss. That’s right. Black. But as black at it is, it’s still not opaque and it would be a disaster to wear it on it’s own. Again, layer it or mix it. I will definitely go with mixing.

I mixed it with medium red to show you what I was talking about. (lipstick I choose was not the best choice because it is pretty sheer, but fu** it.)

Galactic is something special. This lipgloss is silver shimmer, very pigmented and you need a tiny bit. It came to my mind just now I bought 3 lipglosses only for layering. Hooray.

You may consider me crazy but cosmetic items like this raise my creativity and self-confidence. I really wouldnt mind going out with green lipgloss. I would be happy if I saw another person with silver lips. It is somewhat of my personal challenge, to see how far can I go with make up (in the boundaries of a good taste) and there is no better brand than Illamasqua to help my wish to come true. I look forward to testing and endless combinations I will come up with using this trio.

And I look forward to next visit to Illamasqua. I already know what I will buy – blush in Panic and Intense lipgloss in Fierce. Both beautiful and unique. Big thanks to Illamasqua for making all my make up dreams possible. Here is my look with Violate over Catrice 170. Nevermind the surprised face – I was taking these photos in such hurry.

And you? Have you visited Illamasqua store? What do you think about my choice of lipglosses?
