Do you like dark, dramatic make up? Something vampy or goth? Well, I do, but I also like quick, yet interesting look so I made a tutorial for the most classic gawth make up there is :)
I used a foundation a bit lighter than my skintone because I wanted it to look pale and half dead :D and I used a setting powder to matte all. Concealer is a must if you have discolorations or zits or any skin flaws for that matter.
Put a primer on lids.
I draw a line near the lashes on my upper lid. Make sure you push the eyepencil into the lashes to fill the blanks between them.
Smudge the line using an angled brush.
APlly grey eyeshadow on the entire lid to set the pencil and make a smokey eye.
Use a matte black eyeshadow to define the lash line and blend it out with the rest.
Line our waterline with black pencil and smudge it, then set it with black eyeshadow.
And mascara for the end.
I used a little trick I learned over at Illamasqua Master Class. Apply a thin layer of foundation or concealer over lips to neutralize the color. Then line the lips with black pencil.
Blend the line inwards to make a gradient effect so you have a good base for the lipstick.
Using a lip brush, apply medium red lipstick, drawing it near the edge of lips to cover all the black. You can see the black on the photo, but it is really not visible IRL.
Now it’s up to you – stay on semi matte finish or gloss it out. I went with the other choice to make my lips even more dramatic.
I didnt used any blush since I wanted to keep the light, drained out vamp look. I made my eyebrows even more noticable.
I love this lipstick technique because it gives amatinf 3D effect.
How about you? Do you prefer darker or lighter colors in makeup? :)
