Golden Rose nail polishes
Summer is the best season for bright, neon colors (although I dont limit myself by season or trend). Last time I was in Zagreb, I dropped by the Golden Rose store in Importanne center to see whats the fuss about their polishes I read now and then on blogs and forums. I admit, I wanted to buy every single of them but I somehow limited my lust on 8 pieces. You will see 7 because I gave one to my friend.
Bigger ones are 15kn a piece and smaller 9kn which makes them very affordable, especially when I consider most of my polishes end up in the darkness of the drawer I keep them in, after I am done playing and I get myself new polishes.
So lets see the photos and swatches.
Golden Rose Sweet Color O4 is the usual white creme, pretty opaque, great for french manicure or as a base for other polishes.
Miss Selene 215 is neon yellow/lime. I am in love with this, but the bad thing is that is is thin and it needs 3-4 coats to cover the nail equally. Or you can just apply it over the white base.
Golden Rose Paris 86 is neon light green. I havet had polish in this shade so it just jumped into my hands! Texture is same as the previous, thin. Jelly finish.
Golden Rose Paris 207 is a bit darker neon green. I love creme/jelly greens so this was an instant choice. 3-4 layers for good coverage, jell finish.
Golden Rose Paris 92 is a warm hot pink, similar to China Glaze Pink Voltage which is my favorite neon, especially when worn on toes. Jelly finish, 3-4 layers needed.
Golden Rose Paris 91 is cooler and lighter than 92, but it is equally beautiful. Jelly, 4 layers needed.
Only one in the category of “normal” colors is Golden Rose Paris 63, blood red jelly. I like to have red and black in stock because I ran to them when I dont have an inspiration or I just dont want other colors on my nails. The bad thing is that is dries a bit slow, but it needs just 2 coats.
I am very happy with the purchased nail polishes, they are cheap, neon and what else do I need? Well, beside a top coat to speed up a drying process and some extra time to apply additional coats? :)
Here are few more photos taken in direct sunlight and in shade so you could see better.
I like this one :)
And you? Last nail polish you bought? Your favorite for the summer?
