Makeup to go.
I thought it would be interesting to write a quick post about the makeup I take with me when I go somewhere for a day, two or three.
I am one of those persons who don’t travel light, instead I carry a buch of stuff I don’t use but with makeup I try to be rational, especially in summer when everything is in danger of melting. Also, going over to D. place for a weekend required me to pick out some products I would use.
I carry my travel make up in a cometic bag I got from Offertisima for 12kn and I bought it because it has zebra print and I am all crazy about animal print on everything. Beside that, it was cheap as hell and big/small enough to fit minimum of my makeup in it :)
For face product I took Shiseido Benefiance foundation as my favorite summer foundation and Illamasqua Skin Base which I use as a concealer and highlighter. I also use Illamasqua Cream pigment in Hollow as concealer or an eyeshadow base, and for my foundation primer I took Eveline Art Scenic for combination/oily skin.
So, if you are traveling somewhere for short time in summer, take a liquid foundation and a concealer. Primer is not necessary if you don’t want too much products when temperatures go over 35 degrees, but I like to have it with me just in case.
When it comes to blushes, I am maybe not the best person to listen to, because I can never decide on just one, so I packed MAC Stereo Rose (shimmery peachy/orange), Illamasqua Ambition (dusty rose with gold shimmer), Illamasqua Primal (light grey beige for contouring, I use it as an eyeshadow also) and Essence Sun Club bronzer for bronzing of course. I prefer shimmery bronzers in summer because they make my face glow.
For the eye stuff I took my favorite Urban Decay Naked palette because it has most of the colors I use and I can create day or night looks with it. I can really suggest everyone to get this palette because it is great and well worth of price! I also took black eye pencil (from Eveline) and liquid eyeliner (also from Eveline). Eyeshadow base is unavoidable for summer so e.l.f. primer goes in my cosmetic bag also. I am currently using Essence Get Big mascara which I will review soon and eyebrows are taken care of with Illamasqua Eyebrow cake Gaze.
Since I try to minimize my eye makeup to avoid melting and smudging all over my face, I focus on lips so I took three of my favorite lipsticks – Catrice After work wine (dark burgundy), Rimmel Cutting edge (purple red) and Revlon Really red (matte red). I like that I can wear them as just a hint of color or as a full lip cover. For the day I took Lancome Juicy tubes lipgloss which is clear gloss with just a hint of purple brown.
I also took my brushes with me but I wont be showing them since 5 days passed as I washed them :D
I hope this post helped you to choose more important products to take with you when traveling. My zebra bag serves me well :)
Tell me what do you usually take with you when you go somewhere? And here is me without make up and a bunny :)
