Lancome Midnight Roses Blush highlighter

Good highlighter is a true treasure in every makeup bag. It makes your face alive, gives dimension, attracts light.
I got Midnight Roses Blush, a jewel of Lancome fall collection, for a review. Actually, while I was exchanging emails with Lancome PR, she asked me if I am interested in any particular item from their range. This highlighter was my choice and it surpassed my expectations.
It comes in black plastic packaging, simple, elegant…like all Lancome products. There is a mirror inside and 5 grams of product. Higlighter has a embedded 3d rose flower on the surface. Small brush is included although you cant expect a quality from it, but it works okay if you are i.e. somewhere out and need to touch up your makeup.
Product itself is made out of very fine shimmer which gives a “natural glow” look when applied. Shimmer particles are in beige and pink so it is easily usable for both yellow and pink undertones and for fair, medium and probably some dark skin tones. I have medium skin tone now and I cant say it gives any ashy cast, no matter how much I put on my cheeks.

I wore it all day yesterday and today. From now I can say staying power is impressive (count in the high temperatures,too) and I didnt went off my face even a little bit. It looked same in the evening as it was in the morning. Texture is beautiful, it applies so smoothly and blends perfectly with the rest of makeup. It shows no color on skin, just healthy shine. I applied it on cheeks below my eyes and under the eyebrow arch but it can also be used on brigde of the nose, forehead, chin and upper lip when you want to contour your face to the fullest. First swatch is taken in shade, second in direct sunlight. (Left – unblended, right – blended in)
I dont know exact price, but I see it is 42$ in USA, but knowing our prices on high end cosmetics, I guess this one will go for around 350,00kn, like most Lancome limited edition powders and highlighters. Someone correct me if I’m wrong or if you know the exact price. Edit: Price is 398,00kn. :)
In the end – would I buy this product? Well, I do realize the price is high on items like this one, but it is a high quality product which will last a long time and it will give the final touch to your makeup. So I would say yes, I would buy it. Nevermind the smudged eye makeup, this was taken after I was out for hours :D

Ne stavljam često highlighter, al kad stavim najčešće je to bijelo sjenilo iz 120 palete…Baš sad gledam ove highlightere iz KissMySass kolekcije-u to bi se dalo investirat,hmm…Moja wish lista se samo povećava i povećava….Vi blogeri me samo navodite na grijeh :D:D:D

Ali je preskup.. I 200kn bi mi bilo previše dati za highlighter..
Ja čeznem za LORAC Perfectly Lit Oil-Free Luminizing Powder (nijansa Luminous).
To mi je neki maximum koji bih dala za takav proizvod ($32)..

Ja u principu nisam pobornik neke iskljucivosti u kozmetici, volim i jeftino i skupo, samo oko onog skupog jako pazim da ti novci ne budu bezveze baceni. :)

Kad bolje razmislim, da me nešto oduševi toliko da ne mogu spavati, ne bih vjerojatno marila za cijenu, nego štedjela za to :)

Najviše volim kad se ti ispričavaš zbog razmazane šminke i ja sad očekujem neku brljotinu, kad ono na slici sve besprijekorno.
Nedavno sam si priuštila slavni Whisper of Gilt, već štedim za Auroru, i onda mi ti baciš ovu bubu u uho. Jel znaš možda kako se kreću cijene Lancomea općenito po ostatku Europe, idem u London za 3 tjedna pa možda tamo jeftinije prođem? :)
A ja vidim nesto sto ne valja pa moram :D
Uzasno zavidim na Whisper, to je nesto nevjerovatno lijepo. Za London ne znam, ali mislim da su cijene vrlo vjerovatno jednake kao i ovdje :/
Stvarno je prekrasan highlighter i moram priznati da iako ih imam hrpu jedan je i više nego dovoljan :D ali im ja nikad ne mogu odoljeti :D
@Iva – mislim da su u Londonu cijene još skuplje jer je tamo valjda najskuplja kozmetika u odnosu na druge zemlje (i u Francuskoj isto, čini mi se). :/
Znam, i ja isto tako, a stvarno bi trebala pripaziti jer toliko toga necu stici potrositi ni do pola :D
