Misslyn lipstick – review and swatches
I got three Misslyn lipsticks for a review a few days ago and I spent this weekend playing with them. These lippies are from their holiday collection, Future Glam.
First of all, I have to say I rarely ever wear shimmery lipglosses or lipsticks. Not that I hate them, but when I’m picking out new lip products, I somehow always end up with creme or matte finish, they are easier to fit into most looks.
When I saw these, I was a bit worried how they will look on my lips or will I be able to wear them at all because of the large shimmer particles which is not my favorite thing in the world. However, I was pleasantly surprised because the shimmer gave a wet look to lips and they werent very glittery or shiney which can look cheap sometimes. Just high gloss, perfect for holiday season.
407 is a medium beige with peach undertones, loaded with silver shimmer. It looks a bit darker on the photo below.
413 is shimmery medium red, very wearable shade.
416 is medium berry with shimmer.
Texture is the same with all three of them – base is smooth but you can feel the shimmer on lips. They last quite long but go off if you eat or drink. I would say they are decent lipsticks that will not dry your lips, spill into fine lines around the lips and they will fade evenly. Only downside is that they leave shimmer on lips even after removed.
My opinion on them is divided. I would probably never choose these colors for me but despite that they are good, quality lipsticks with low price, worth of trying out.
Price is around 45kn, they hold 4g of product and you can get them in Muller drugstores.
Have you tried any Misslyn products? What is you favorite lipstick finish – shimmery, matte or creme?
