MUA Poptastic palette – review
Recently I got, among other things that I ordered from MUA sale, a Poptastic palette that is a star of this post. This is the first time I’ve tried their palettes and Poptastic seemd like a quite solid choice to fill my collection of eyeshadows that is not really even that large (at least not as large as I would want it to be).
About the product:
MUA says that their palette contains 12 soft shades that can easily blend, yadda, yadda, yadda. Really, they say nothing important about the palette :)
Firm plastic palette with clear lid. I must admit I got a little surprised by the size of this palette because I imagined it to be larger, however this is not bad because it is practical to put it into your makeup bag or purse when you go somewhere for a few days and want to have many different shades.
The texture of all shades is pretty much equal. I would describe them as buttery. Yes, a strange word for an eyeshadow, but if you try them with a finger it will be as if you’ve gone through something soft, smooth and you dont feel eyeshadow particles on a fingertip. All of the eyeshadows have shimmer in them which is evenly transferred to the eyelids.
In addition to standard applying with the eyeshadow brush, I noticed that they can be applied quite well with a finger and it is easy to “push” the shadow on the eyelid thus making the color more apparent. They are easy to blend and there s not much fallout.
If I had to evaluate pigmentation, it would be 6/10. Not extremely pigmented, but the color turns out quite the same as it is in the packaging if you work them up a little bit with a brush or a finger.
They last as long as the whole makeup. I noticed no fading or disappearing from lids.
Price, quantity, where to buy:
4 pounds, 12×0, 8g, MUA webshop
- Very cheap
- A solid color choices
- Fine texture
- Good wear
- Convenient to use
- Only shimmer shades
- Too many blue colors
This palette is quite good. If you are looking for an eyeshadows that will give you a color which can be more or less bright, think about getting Poptastic. Colors in it are okay (as I said, a bit too much blue, but I personally love blue e/s), and I love the purplev (1st row, 4th color) that looks great over a black eyeliner pencil. The quality is not too bad, so I think that at the 4 pound range you cant get anything better.
Have you tried the MUA palettes? Which one is your favorite? Do you like Poptastic?
